Discover Pisco Latin Kitchen

Walking into Pisco Latin Kitchen for the first time felt like stepping into a lively neighborhood hangout where Latin flavors take center stage without trying too hard. I stopped by on a busy Friday evening after hearing consistent buzz from friends and local reviews, and the place was humming with conversation, clinking glasses, and the kind of energy that tells you people are genuinely enjoying themselves. Located at 5975 Roswell Rd Ste. E-353, Sandy Springs, GA 30328, United States, the restaurant sits comfortably among other local spots yet manages to stand out through personality alone.

My experience started with the menu, which reads like a tour across Latin America. From Peruvian-inspired dishes to familiar Latin comfort food, everything is laid out clearly without being overwhelming. I remember ordering a ceviche recommended by the server, who explained the marination process in detail, noting how citrus acidity denatures the proteins in fresh fish rather than cooking it with heat. That explanation aligns with culinary science discussed by institutions like the Culinary Institute of America, which emphasizes balance and timing as key to great ceviche. The dish arrived bright, fresh, and well-seasoned, proving that the method works when done right.

One thing that consistently shows up in reviews is how approachable the food feels. Even guests who are new to Latin cuisine tend to find something familiar yet exciting. During my visit, a nearby table was clearly on their first outing there, and I overheard one diner say authentic but not intimidating, which perfectly sums up the vibe. That balance is harder to achieve than it sounds, especially when drawing from multiple regional traditions.

Drinks deserve their own moment. The bar leans into pisco-based cocktails, and for good reason. Pisco, a grape brandy with roots in Peru and Chile, has been gaining popularity in the U.S. According to industry data from the Distilled Spirits Council, Latin spirits have seen steady growth over the past decade. Here, the bartenders treat it with respect, mixing cocktails that highlight the spirit instead of masking it. My drink arrived crisp and aromatic, and it paired naturally with the food rather than overpowering it.

Service plays a big role in why people return. On my visit, staff members checked in just enough to be helpful without hovering. That attentiveness shows up repeatedly in customer feedback across platforms, where consistency is often praised more than flashiness. It’s clear there’s a process in place for training and hospitality, something restaurant consultants frequently point to as a marker of long-term success.

The dining room itself feels relaxed and social. Tables are spaced to encourage conversation, and the décor hints at Latin roots without leaning on clichés. It’s the kind of place where you could bring family, meet friends after work, or settle in for a casual date. One regular I spoke with mentioned that weekend nights can get busy, which is a fair limitation if you’re hoping for a quiet, empty room. Planning ahead or arriving early helps.

What stands out most is how naturally everything comes together. The menu, the location, the service, and the steady stream of positive reviews all reinforce the same idea: this is a restaurant that knows its audience and respects its ingredients. While no place is perfect, and wait times can stretch during peak hours, the overall experience feels reliable and thoughtfully executed. For a local diner searching for bold flavors, friendly energy, and a menu that invites exploration, this spot earns its reputation through consistent delivery rather than hype.

  • My family is from Peru and we were excited to try some Peruvian food in Atlanta. This place did not disappoint! We ordered Papa à la Huancaina, Lomo Saltado, and Arroz Chaufa de Pollo. All of them came out delicious and tasted very authentic.

  • Friendly home type of atmosphere. You almost feel like you are in Peru. The people are so friendly and that's only topped by. It's great cuisine and bar. My man Diego turned me onto the Grouper chorrillana and that by far is my favorite dish! Everything on the menu is tasty! You can't go wrong with whatever you pick.

  • I had this place on our list and couldn’t wait to try it!! Unfortunately it was a slight let down. Our food wasn’t as delicious as I was hoping because it didn’t have much seasoning. It was still good just not amazing. The lady serving us spent more time chatting with other servers and we had to get her attention whenever we needed anything even water. Our drinks took forever! We came just before the dinner crowd so the place was pretty empty not sure what the problem was. It’s probably worth another try and I think the situation was likely not the norm but we likely won’t ever return.

  • Am a big fan of Peruvian food and we really enjoyed our meal We tried carretillero and the fish was fresh , perfect amount of spices and acidity , calamari was fresh and crispy . The Gambas were also really good , we also ordered patatas bravas and were really good , I would have love a little bit of the spicy sauce but is my personal opinion. We tried also the tallarines verdes with churrasco and even. It was not my favorite part of my meal was good , the meat was overcooked but they changed it for me with no problems and gave me the perfect term the second time Try also the pisco sour is Amazing. definitely we will be back soon Our server was amazing , service five stars

  • No ceviche matches Peruvian Ceviche and Pisco Latin Kitchen never fails to serve an authentic Peruvian Ceviche. Seafood is always fresh and Leche de Tigre (Tiger's Milk) is incredibly well prepared and balanced. Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Excellent restaurant to take family and friends!

  • Came here cause I was in the mood for Peruvian food and I will food wise the food did not disappoint I have the Angus Churrasco and it was delicious. For dessert I had the Tres Leches and the texture was a bit weird not terrible I wouldn’t order it again. Service wise the waiter only took half the tables drinks at first and walked away it wasn’t till he came back with the first drinks that we told him what the others wanted. Officially they only checked up on the table once. But when someone passed by and we asked for something they would bring it. Overall I would come back.
